On 11 February each year is celebrated United Nations’ International Day of Women and Girls in Science, one that GESDA particularly supports.
Indeed, GESDA is deeply committed to make sure that science and its advances leave no-one behind and that is true for women and girls, too. Women are still underrepresented in many deep science fields, yet they are needed to bring a complete perspective on where we wish research, and thus our world, to go.
At the invitation of the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs, it is therefore with the greatest pleasure that our Executive Director of the Diplomacy Forum Daria Robinson, who has a background in Astrophysics, shared her experience and encouraged all women and girls to pursue a career in science if this is where their heart and will take them.
