Jean-Pierre Danthine is Professor at EPFL, President of the Paris School of Economics and member of the Board of Trustees of the Center for Economic Policy Research (CEPR) in London. He is also member of the Board of the Fondation Leenaards and of the Fondation Schlumberger pour la recherche et l’éducation.
He was a member of the Governing Board of the Swiss National Bank (SNB) from January 2010 to April 2012 and its vice-chairman from May 2012 until he retired on 30 June 2015. Before joining the SNB, Jean-Pierre Danthine was Professor at the University of Lausanne and Managing Director of the Swiss Finance Institute. His former academic affiliations include Columbia University, University of Southern California, and University of Aix-Marseille.
