Geneva Science and Diplomacy Anticipation Summit
About the 2024 GESDA Summit
Under the theme of “The Great Acceleration”, the 2024 Geneva Science and Diplomacy Anticipation Summit will bring together 1,000 scientists, diplomats, policymakers, innovators, executives and citizens from around the world to explore cutting-edge themes related to using the acceleration of science and its applications to help solve some of humanities biggest global challenges.
The invite-only summit will take place between between 9 and 11 October in Geneva, Switzerland, with dozens of sessions available to watch via livestream.
What you can expect from this year’s GESDA Summit:
- Anticipatory briefings from world-renowned scientists and academics on the 5, 10 and 25 year horizon of topics from GESDA’s Science Breakthrough Radar®.
Sessions will include deep dives on synthetic biology, space science and quantum computing among others. - Interactive discussions with decision-makers about the potential impact of scientific and technological breakthroughs for the future of people, society and our planet.
Sessions will cover topics from future food systems to neuroaugmentation and the role of start-ups in sparking innovation. - Closed-door workshops to advance GESDA’s most mature solution ideas and initiatives on quantum, neurotechnology, science diplomacy and more.
- Political assessment from leaders around the globe about their contribution to anticipatory science and diplomacy.
