Ms. Muñoz is the Director of External Affairs at GESDA (Geneva Science and Diplomacy Anticipator Foundation), a Swiss public-private foundation that anticipates future scientific and technological developments, using science as a powerful enabler of action to maximize benefits for society.
In her previous capacity, she served as Minister Counsellor and Chargé d’Affaires a.i. at the Permanent Mission of Costa Rica to the United Nations in Geneva, Switzerland; where she contributed to advance key initiatives at the intersection of human rights, sustainable development, and international security. Prior to that, she held senior executive positions at the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), The Nature Conservancy, the U.S. Department of State (DoS), Singkee Consulting and AVINA Stiftung. Throughout her career, she has remained deeply passionate about creating pathways for transformative and inclusive impact.
With over 25 years of distinguished experience in the multilateral and international arena, Ms. Muñoz is firmly committed to fostering dialogue and building bridges across diverse sectors and mindsets. She believes in the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration and anticipatory governance of emerging technologies to address the world’s most pressing challenges.
