NEW! Anticipatory Leadership Training Champions Track
For the first time in 2025, the Geneva Science Diplomacy Week introduces the Anticipatory Leadership Training Champions track, inviting representatives from academic institutions, international organizations, public sector entities, corporates, and non-profits to co-create, disseminate and scale the Global Curriculum for Anticipatory Leadership (GCAL). Priority will be given to applicants with a demonstrated institutional commitment to integrate and adapt GCAL content, tools and methods into training and talent development initiatives to meet the unique needs of their local contexts, sectors, and audiences, and empower leaders to drive anticipatory science diplomacy in their regions and organizations.
What makes the Geneva Science Diplomacy Week unique?
The Geneva Science Diplomacy Week brings together leaders from the diplomatic and scientific communities, UN organizations, industry, philanthropy, NGOs and civil society into the multilateral hub of International Geneva to explore the future of leadership in a world accelerated by science and technology. The core features of the program are:
- Science anticipation: Learn about the frontier scientific fields with the highest transformative impact potential on people, society and planet across the next 5, 10 and 25 years, as captured in the GESDA Science Breakthrough Radar®, – from AI and quantum computing to neurotechnologies, geoengineering and global health.
- Science Diplomacy lenses: Explore the nexus between scientific advances and their societal applications and implications, including governance, sustainable development, ethics, human rights, geopolitics, peace and security.
- Bridging mindsets: Be part of a unique mix of academic, diplomacy, business and citizen community leaders from all geographies.
- Experiential learning: Foster new skills and competencies and embrace perspective-shifting across sectors through role-play simulations and serious games.

The Geneva Science Diplomacy Week is facilitated by GESDA and organized in partnership with the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR), the Geneva Science-Policy Interface, the University of Geneva, ETH Zürich, the Geneva Centre for Security Policy, CERN, and more partners to be announced soon.
